Final Designs

Possible Eye Textures

AG: All of the following eye textures were made on Photoshop CS6. They exist to illustrate possibilities for the colour of the eye or eyes.

New Final Weapon Design and Colour Theory

We as a group have decided that we need a simpler design for our weapon, and that the previous design would be too difficult to produce at our current level and in the time we have left.

AG: This digital line sketch was made on Photoshop CS6 based on a sketch done by Mark. This was after we had agreed that we needed a simpler design to work with at our current stage.

AG: This is the same weapon as above but coloured. The colour scheme is based on the colour scheme that Mark had suggested (except for the eye).

AG: Before I had Mark's new design to work with, I had coloured another of Mark's via Photoshop CS6. The focus was meant to be on the left one, but because the other cannot be cropped out and because I preferred it to not be left uncoloured, I coloured the other one as well anyway, even though the other design is very likely to not be used.

Research

After trying to find more reference material for out Final Design Idea, I found the BioRaptors from Vin Diesel's movie Pitch Black in 2000, There heads and almost entire body are a weapon, Their razer strap exoskeleton makes this creature a dangerous entity, The exoskull itself is able to slice through bodies with ease.

In more research I was able to remember this character from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, This is Reedman, He is formed up of Nanocons (Decepticon Nanobots) That form his entire structure because he is so thin he is essentially an giant mobile blade, He is even able to dash though peoples chest like a hot knife through butter.

AG: This is a blade design I have nicknamed the "Iguana", due to the presence of  protrusions that, to me at least, resemble the dorsal spines of the green iguana.

AG: This is a blade design I have nicknamed the "Bearded Dragon Hook", due to the hook-like shape on the end of the blade and due to the lower portion of the blade resembling the beards of Chinese dragons (which in China are called Long).

AG: This blade design is inspired directly by a Chinese pole weapon called the Yanyuedao, or Guan Dao as it is more commonly called.  Due to its connection with the legendary warrior Guan Yu, I have also added some markings to resemble traditional depictions of the warrior's face, which gives off an additional "fierce god" vibe. Because of this, I am rather fond of this design. I have nicknamed it the "Guan Dao", though I have also written "Blade of Honour" as an alternative nickname.

AG: This blade design was originally supposed to be a distortion of the Kila, but eventually ended up resembling a shark of some kind. Interesting to note, part of the blade also seems to resemble the dinosaur Parasaurolophus. I eventually went with the weird shark design, to the point that I nicknamed it "Demon Fin", though also adding alternate nicknames "Sail Shark", and "Slaytanic Shark", the latter being merely a humorous moniker which refers to demonic nature of this parasite.

AG: This blade's shape was inspired by the weapon used by Xiahou Dun in the Dynasty Warriors series of games. I have nicknamed it the "Divine Horn" because I felt it simply evoked that name. After I gave it that moniker, In added some markings on the blade in order to enhance it aesthetically.

AG: These are concept drawings made for the purpose of actual modelling, using one or two generic blade examples. It draws the blade side, front, top, and bottom views.
